What are my values and strengths?

I’m a passionate creative-type who is good with technology. I enjoy investing time and energy in multimedia projects that express a concept and meet the brief. I value personal integrity, I’m assertive when asked to provide feedback, engaged when providing solutions and I have a good sense of humour. I'm an authentic and empathetic communicator which reflects an established interest in spirituality and meditation. I thrive in situations where I’ve been trusted to deliver a product, a service or a solution and inclusive within group projects.

What Do I Do?

I’m currently studying media and communications at QUT Brisbane (2018). I'm also working for Encore Event Technologies (formerly Staging Connections), where I work in as part of a team delivering logistical support for corporate events.

 

What can I offer?

I’ve been trained in studio recording and music production and have and associate degree in Audio from SAE Brisbane, 2016 – 2017. I have both training and many years of experience in education (Wollongong university 1991 – 1995). I worked as an English language teacher for both high school aged migrants and adult learners within Australia and overseas.

My educational training and broad life experience give depth to my creative projects. I respond well to responsibilities, take ownership of roles and know how to take direction within collaborative projects.

I recently responded to a call to contribute content to the QUT Creative Industries Faculty's website: No Walls. I proved myself to be proactive and took responsibility for conducting interviews, liaised between two communications managers, delivered multiple versions of video content and created text for the blog. The results can be found in the video portfolio section of my website.

My vision

I’m inspired to seek out further opportunities to gain valuable industry experience within media and communications departments and organisations. I envisage myself eventually playing a project manager role and organising technical collaborators to complete creative projects. I'm looking forward to delivering media projects, curated news and information for people from a diverse range of backgrounds.
